Assistant Pastor Bright Atwine

Dear Friends,

We have known Bright Atwine since he was a newborn babe in his mother’s arms, and he has grown up under our ministry. He has been in our Bible Institute Program and has completed the Global Baptist Training Foundation’s course for church planters. In November last year, Bright married Mercy, and now they have a baby girl named Truth. It has been our great joy to watch Bright grow to manhood and to become a minister in the Lord’s work.

Current Ministries
Bright is now the Assistant Pastor at Ntare Bible Baptist Church, which is the first church we started in Uganda back in 1994. He is also the Youth Representative for the Independent Baptist Fellowship of East Africa, which will hold its annual conference in western Kenya this January. Bright is the founder of Bible Believing Youth, established during the COVID-19 lockdowns to encourage the youth to fellowship together online through WhatsApp. Now they hold youth conferences in Mbarara and plan to expand to other districts in Uganda and beyond. Bright is one of the national trainers in the Global Baptist Training Foundation program, helping to train new church planters in Western Uganda. He is also a team leader with Character Under Construction, a Baptist outreach ministry to youth introduced to Uganda by Missionary Jeff Bellamy of Rock of Ages Ministry. And Bright is involved in organizing and leading youth camps in various parts of the country.

Need for a Vehicle
With all that Pastor Bright is doing in ministry in Uganda, he really needs a means of transportation. He is raising money to buy a minivan that will be used to take him and other youth leaders to churches, schools, youth camps, and other outreaches. If you would like to contribute to this need, please send your contributions marked “Pastor Bright Vehicle.” You can have a part in helping this young man bring many lost souls to Christ. Remember Daniel 12:3, “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” Thank you.

Yours for Uganda,
Russ & Sylvia Daniels
