Accomplishments in Recent Years
Dear Friends,
Six years ago, the COVID-19 pandemic started. Thanks to our faithful supporters, we raised over $25,000.00 to feed starving Ugandans who would have DIED without this assistance.
We stood with the Bwerenga Bible Baptist Church when the national pastor walked off, pastoring the church until a new national pastor could be called. We completed the five-year process of solving the Uganda Revenue tax issue that was threatening our mission organization, all while living in a mold-infested apartment that caused me to have some serious health issues.
After returning to the States for my medical treatment, Sylvia went back to Uganda to move us to a mold-free apartment and renovate the mission house in preparation for a new missionary family.
We have continued raising support for orphans of AIDS victims, some of whom have now graduated from high school and university and are serving the Lord as productive members of society.
We refurbished the hostel and conference hall at Bwerenga for pastors’ trainings and youth retreats.
We launched the Energizing Africans Today (E.A.T.) program to continue mentoring, counseling, and enabling the national pastors and their families as they serve in their churches. Many need help as they deal with deaths in the family, the challenges of false doctrines, relationship issues, and the financial needs of expanding ministries. Last year, we met with and recorded video interviews with twelve national pastors so that they could share their personal testimonies, ministries, and needs.
We connected national pastors to people who could help train and support them in church-planting efforts in fulfillment of our goal to establish an indigenous church-planting movement in Uganda. We have worked with Pastor Ron Williams to have several village church buildings built and dedicated. We raised money to buy land for the most recent church-plant, the Rwantsinga Acts Bible Baptist Church. This church is having a huge impact in the community, seeing people saved and baptized weekly.
Thank you for your prayers and financial support that enables us to continue ministering in Uganda.
Yours for Uganda,
Russ & Sylvia Daniels
