The Gospel Changes Lives
Dear Friends,
We have begun our 35th year as missionaries to Uganda and are soon returning to the field. We are excited about the ministry, and can’t wait to get back. We need $3,400.00 before the end of August to cover the cost of our air tickets. Please consider a special contribution toward this need.
Sylvia recently received this letter of appreciation from the daughter of one of our national pastors, Serah Atusasire. God has called her to be a missionary to Rwanda, and she is currently studying Missions in Bible college. We pray that her letter touches your heart.
To My Dear Missionaries, Thank you for making the bravest and greatest decision—to leave the comfort of your home, your families, and your familiar world, just so you could bring the gospel to ours. You didn’t just travel across the boarders: you crossed fears, challenges and uncertainties, all because you believed that even one soul is worth the journey. Your obedience to God did not only reach my country… it reached my parents and me, and now it is shaping my generation. The seeds you planted didn’t stop with a single life—they are growing into families, legacies, and futures that now know Jesus because you cared enough to come.
You stood as lights in places where hope was dim. You became answers to prayers we didn’t even know how to pray yet. Your footsteps became a reminder that the Great Commission is not just a command, it is a lifeline – a bridge between heaven and hearts waiting to be found. Because of your willingness, I learned faith can travel, love can cross oceans, and the gospel can change histories. May your calling continue to rise, GO, and carry the message of Christ to every corner of the world. May our hearts burn with the same fire you carried – one that refuses to stay silent, one that chooses compassion over comfort, and one that believes that the Good News is too precious to keep for ourselves. Thank you for choosing us. Thank you for choosing obedience. Thank you for choosing the gospel. Your sacrifice is shaping a generation – mine included. YOUR LABOR DID NOT GO IN VAIN!
