Dear Friends,
In October 2022, we asked for help for a solar battery backup system. We finally got everything we needed to get it installed and running. Now, no more interruptions in the office due to power outages, and no more fans stopping in the middle of the night. Praise the Lord!
In November 2022, we announced that our apartment had been burglarized and our laptops and other electronics were stollen. We have finally been able to replace all the stolen items, and are back on track with several important projects. We have learned that God is in control and that He has a purpose, even when we can’t understand it at first.
In March, we wrote that the national pastor of the Bwerenga Bible Baptist Church gave up on the ministry and walked away. I had to step in and lead the church while they looked for a new pastor. Praise the Lord, the church has now called Pastor Hannington Bamutaze as their new pastor. Pastor Hannington was trained in a Bible Institute run by other independent Baptist missionaries. He is a soul winner and on fire for the Lord. Since he has become the pastor of the church, the attendance is up over 60 on Sundays, with souls being saved and baptized. We thank God for what He is doing through the Bwerenga Bible Baptist Church. Please continue to pray for this church and for Pastor Hannington.
For years, we have been praying the Matthew 9:38 prayer for God to send more laborers into the harvest fields, and especially here to Uganda. At the beginning of August, the Nolan LeTourneau family arrived in Uganda as career BBFI missionaries! We are thrilled to have them join our missionary team and excited to help them get set up and settled. They are applying for their work permits and getting ready to start learning the Luganda language and culture. Pray for them to adapt to their new environment and for God to use them to bring many to Him. Thank you. https://letourneaus2uganda.com
