Rwantsinga Acts Bible Baptist Church

Dear Friends,

Pastor Naboth Atusasire was one of our first converts in Uganda back in 1994. After discipleship and Bible Institute training, he became the national pastor of the first church we started in Mbarara. He is now the senior pastor of that church, has started 5 other churches, and is training more church planters. He is the Chairman of the Baptist Bible Mission of East Africa, President of the Independent Baptist Fellowship of East Africa, and Director of Global Baptist Training Foundation for East Africa.

In March last year, in his home village, Pastor Naboth started a new church that grew out of a Bible study through the book of Acts. The church first met in his village home, then in a tent after we helped buy land for the church. Then, Dr. Bruce Snavely with Global Baptist Training Foundation raised money to construct a large beautiful church building. The building dedication service for Rwantsinga Acts Bible Baptist Church was held on August 11th with over 2,000 people in attendance including many government officials and a representative sent by the President of Uganda. Dedication day was preceded by a week of soul winning in which 10 people gave their lives to Christ. During the service, 17 more souls were saved including a Muslim man who asked to be baptized, and he was baptized with 11 others that day.

The following Sunday, Pastor Naboth reported that they had 25 new visitors and 8 more people received Christ as their Lord and Savior. During this service, a Catholic woman removed her rosary from her neck and threw it away. When Pastor Naboth asked why she did this, she said that since she has received Christ as her personal Savior, she is no longer a Catholic but a follower of Christ. Please continue to pray for Pastor Naboth and for Rwantsinga Acts Bible Baptist Church. Thank you!

Yours for Uganda,
