Dear Friends,
Pastor Naboth Atusasire said, “Kyenjojo District is spiritually fertile, and the people there are hungry and thirsty for the true Word of God! They are tired of false doctrine and false teachers.”
Do you remember Bisaka Owobusobizi, the cult leader from this area who proclaimed himself to be the creator god? He died last year, leaving his followers disillusioned and searching for truth.
Kyenjojo is a five-hour drive from Mbarara where Pastor Naboth is, and a six-hour drive from our work in the Entebbe area. Pastor Naboth has been traveling to Kyenjojo to help Brother Ivan Asiimwe of the Sayuni Bible Baptist Church with evangelism and discipleship of new believers. Now, two new churches have been started out of this church, and five men are being trained for the ministry!
Pastor Naboth is asking God to call a new missionary family to this spiritually needy area in western Uganda. Has God laid a burden on your heart to come and join our missionary team in Uganda? Will you answer that call? Please pray for God to send more laborers into His harvest.
Please also pray for Sylvia and I as we prepare to return to Uganda at the end of May. Sylvia’s health is now much improved, and her doctors have put her on a wellness maintenance program that she will follow for the rest of her life. We are thankful for your prayers and for God sparing her life!
