Church Planting in Southwestern Uganda
Dear Friends,
Pastor Geofrey Muhumuza is one of our long-time, faithful pastors. He started a church in Buteraniro Trading Center, and from that church, two other churches have been started deeper in the surrounding villages. The newest of these village churches is Kashasha Bible Baptist Church. The church has a plot of land with a mud-brick house that they converted into a meeting room, but they need a proper church building. They also want to build a parsonage on the church property for a permanent pastor. Currently, Pastor Muhumuza or other church leaders from Buteraniro Bible Baptist Church go to Kashasha to lead the Sunday services.
Now, a young man in the Kashasha church named Richard Tumuhirwe has surrendered to full time service and has joined the Bible Institute. Please pray for him and his young family.
Pastor Muhumuza recently sent this report: “God has blessed our churches here in Uganda. We recently had an open-air meeting in Buteraniro, and 19 people got saved. We baptized one at the end of the conference. People continue getting saved. Today, four people got baptized, two from Kashasha and two from Buteraniro. We thank the Lord for that.”
