Dear Friends,

In January, a new missionary joined our mission here in Uganda. Maria Josephine Pueblo is from the Philippines and is supported through the Asia Baptist Clearing House. Miss Jamie Hadden got her started with her online work permit application. However, her application was deferred several times, and in the end, Sylvia and I had to take Miss Josephine to the Immigration Office to help her get it processed. Praise the Lord, her two-year work permit was finally approved!

While we were helping her get her work permit, Miss Josephine stayed in the guest room of our apartment for almost a month. During this time, Sylvia also helped her open a bank account and arranged for her to meet with a language teacher. Miss Josephine now has a tutor teaching her the Runyankole language as she will be ministering among the Ankole people in western Uganda. Pray that she can learn the language well in order to be able to communicate the gospel effectively.

The Nolan and Janay LeTourneau family will also be joining us soon! They have purchased their airline tickets and will arrive in Uganda on August 2nd at 10:30pm, just three days before their 7th wedding anniversary! We are so excited to have this young family join our missionary team! They will be living in our former home in Bwerenga, just south of the capital city, Kampala. They will also have a language tutor teaching them the Luganda language as they will be ministering in the central part of the country to primarily the Baganda tribe of people. Please pray for them as they finish up their deputation and start packing for their trip to Uganda.

Yours for Uganda,
Russ & Sylvia Daniels
