Dear Supporters and Friends,

Four years ago, the Uganda Revenue Authority wrongfully assessed our mission for income tax
because of a mistake our auditor made on our tax returns to the Ugandan government. The
assessments amounted to almost $23,000.00, with fees and interest being added each month. It
has been a long and difficult struggle requiring hundreds of man hours to gather information and
prepare the documents needed for our defense. With the help of the auditor, we were able to
present our appeal in August. It took many follow-up visits by myself and some of our national
board members, but finally on November 2nd, we were given a letter stating that our appeal has
been allowed and the tax assessments removed! We thank God for this miraculous victory!

For years, Sylvia has suffered with a Stage IV Bladder Prolapse. When it became unbearable, we
had to make the decision to have the corrective surgery and vaginoplasty done in Uganda. We
thank God that the surgery was successful, and that she is recovering well. Her doctors then told
her that she needs to be on Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, which is not available in
Uganda. We have therefore had to return to the States for a short medical furlough. Sylvia and I
have both had many blood, saliva, and urine tests, and have found that we both must be on
hormone treatments. Also, Sylvia has adrenal fatigue, a goitered thyroid, and edema in her knees.
My hormones, neurotransmitters, and vitamin D levels were extremely low. I have also tested
positive for mold toxicity that has caused CIRS, joint pain, cognitive impairment, fatigue, anxiety,
and depression. I am on binders to try to detoxify my body from the mold poisons. We thank God
that we have been able to find out what’s wrong and begin treatments to improve our health!
Although we are doing a lot to keep up with the work in Uganda even while we are in the States,
our goal is to return to Uganda as soon as possible. Please pray for our hormones to balance out
and for our health to improve. Thank you so much, and have a happy Thanksgiving!

“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the
Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Ephesians 5:20

Yours for Uganda,
