Planting a New Church in Kyenjojo District
Dear Friends,
The Ugandan government has now begun easing the COVID lockdown restrictions and is allowing churches to hold services again. Now that they can meet again, Pastor Naboth is planning another trip to Kyenjojo District for discipleship and training of believers and church leaders at the Mbale Bible Baptist Church. This church, led by Pastor Ivan, is in an area where many
people had been worshipping a man who proclaimed himself a god, but who died earlier this year, leaving his followers disillusioned.
In October, Pastor Naboth will be joined by Pastor Muhumuza, and Muslim Evangelist Wilson to make the six-hour road trip to Kyenjojo District, not only to train church leaders, but to help one of them start a new church in his home village. Gideon and members of seven families in the village of Buringo have been walking six miles to attend Mbale Bible Baptist Church. Now, Pastor Naboth and his team will be conducting open-air evangelistic meetings in Buringo and helping Gideon organize the believers there into a new local church. Please pray for their trip, for this outreach, and for the new church being planted.
Prayer Requests & Praises
• Uganda has eased the COVID lockdown restrictions, and churches are now allowed to meet again! Schools
remain closed until January next year.
• Pray for Dr. Bruce Snavely & Dr. Larry Bazer with Global Baptist Training Foundation as they travel to Uganda
in October to train a group of Baptist church planters at our facilities in Bwerenga.
• Continue to pray for Sylvia’s health. She is seeing good results with her current treatment, and has also
started seeing an additional internal specialist.
• Russ has completed the last course required for his Master of Arts in Church Ministry degree through Baptist
Bible College & Graduate School’s online program! Getting this degree is very important to the future of our
ministry in Uganda as we upgrade our Bible Institute program to a small scale Bible College.
Yours for Uganda,
Russ & Sylvia Daniels
