Dear Friends,
Andrew Nuwataho was only 9 years old when he was brought into our orphan sponsorship program. Under Pastor Naboth’s care, he soon accepted Christ as his Savior, and grew up actively serving the Lord in the Ntare Bible Baptist Church in Mbarara. When Andrew graduated from high school, he moved into a rented room and started taking a veterinary course in university. But one night, thieves broke into his room and attacked him. He did not try to fight back, but one of the men took a rock and hit him right in the face! The men took all of Andrew’s belongings and left him for dead.

Andrew’s right eye had been critically damaged by the rock. He was taken to a hospital, and the surgeons operated on his eye to try to save it. However, his eye could not be saved and had to be removed. When he recovered, they said he would have to get an artificial eye, which would be very expensive. In the end, Andrew had to take out a loan to pay for the artificial eye.
Since going through this near-death experience, Andrew has taken time to re-evaluate his life. He now believes that God is calling him into fulltime ministry, and he has dropped out of the veterinary course. He is studying in our Bible Institute and being mentored by Pastor Naboth. We would like to help Andrew pay off the loan he took to pay for his artificial eye as an encouragement to him. If you would like to send a contribution, please indicate that it is for “Andrew’s eye.” Thank you so much!
Prayer requests:
• Pray for our preemie grandson, Luke, born at less than 24 weeks who is still in the NICU.
• Pray for Sylvia’s health and for her right leg as she seems to have pulled a muscle or tendon.
• Pray for us as we deal with a tax issue with the Uganda Revenue Authority.
• Pray for Miss Josephine Pueblo, a single missionary from the Philippines, soon coming to join our mission in Uganda.
• Continue to pray for Pastor Kyeyune Rodger’s wife, Kemi. We have been able to help her get some treatment, and she is improving slowly. Pray for her full recovery. Thank you.

Yours in Uganda,
Russ & Sylvia Daniels
